FAQs

What makes silk different from cotton?

Silk creates a smoother surface with less friction compared to cotton. This helps reduce pulling on the skin and hair during sleep, supporting a more comfortable overnight experience.

Is this real silk?

Yes. Aevra skin pillowcases are made from 100% mulberry silk, 22 momma, Grade 6A quality.

Is silk suitable for sensitive skin?

Silk is naturally smooth and gentle, making it a very suitable option for those with sensitive or easily irritated skin. Aevra silk pillowcases are OEKO-TEX certified, which means they are free of chemicals; they are also suitable for children.

Will this help with hair frizz or breakage?

Definitely. Silk creates less friction than traditional fabrics, which can help reduce hair breakage and frizz over time.

How do I wash it?

We recommend hand washing or using a delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. Using a laundry/delicates bag can help protect your pillowcase. Air dry to maintain the quality of the silk.

Does silk absorb skincare products?

Silk is less absorbent than cotton, meaning more of your skincare can remain on your skin rather than being absorbed by your pillowcase.

What size is the pillowcase?

Our pillowcases are designed to fit standard UK pillows (50 x 75 cm).

Do you offer returns?

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times will vary depending on your location. Full details will be provided at checkout.

Can I use this every night?

Absolutely. Aevra silk pillowcases are designed for daily use as part of your regular routine.

Is this suitable for use after skin treatments?

Yes! An Aevra silk pillowcase will be fantastic to use after facial treatments, eg laser, injectables and micro needling, as it is hypoallergenic and creates much less friction than other materials so will allow your skin to breathe and retain its natural moisture, as well as any healing skincare products you have applied.
